Rap•port (ra pôr') n. 1. agreement;
harmony; esp. a close or sympathetic
relationship.
The Windsor Star stated, "Georget knows
firsthand what he is talking about." Nobody
agrees more heartily than teenagers.
Witnessing a noisy gym with over 1,000 teens
come to dead silence after a matter of
moments is a sight to see. To watch this
continue through 60 entire minutes bespeaks
that Georget's message gets through.
However, it does more than convince. His
message changes young people.

Net•work
(net' wurk') n. 1. a group, system, etc. of
interconnected or cooperating individuals.
The impact Norbert creates with students is
directly transferred to you, the assembly
organizer, and your counselors. Norbert's
ability is to coordinate his communication
with that of the school so as to form an
effective network for the student. Young
people respond to a united front of caring
people. Your in-house program, whether to be
a S.A.D.D. chapter, Arrive Alive, Counter
Attack, T.A.D.D., OSAID, Student Council,
Crime Stoppers, or Peer Support, is further
strengthened and developed by the Smart
Youth Power Assembly. Students' interaction
and respect for school counselors, peer
leaders, and programs is heightened by
Norbert Georget's reference and promotion
during the Smart Youth Power Assembly™. |
Here
are some of the thousands of e-mail &
letter messages Norbert Georget receives
every year from students on his presentation:
When I first went to the presentation I
thought it was going to be just another
presentation that was boring and no fun. But
yours was different. I have never been so
amazed, scared and just plain moved in my life.
The pictures you showed us was so unbelievable I
found it hard to believe that it could actually
happen to anyone. I never thought drinking and
driving, or doing drugs was that bad. I knew it
was bad for you but, never like that. I just
wanted to let you know I think your presentation
moved me so much. I really want to thank you
doing that for us, and showing us that we don't
alcohol or drugs to have fun. And it amazes me
that people can still do that. Anyways thank you
so much....
Amanda R., County Central High
School, Vulcan Alberta.

It was my first time
hearing you speak and out of my four years at my
school, you were definitely THE BEST Speaker, By
Far, that I have heard. You have touched so many
people at my school, especially me. Your
presentation was Spectacular, and the special
effects were Amazing! They were scary of course,
but it sure brought the message across. I knew
about this issue, but I didn't know how big it
actually was and how serious and scary it is. I
went home from school, and hugged both my
parents and told them that I love them. That was
a very powerful performance. I give you two
thumbs up. Keep up the good work!
Ashley C.,
Lakeshore Catholic High, Port Colborne, Ontario

Throughout the presentation, as soon as I
heard you speak, i knew i was going to get a
hold of you somehow, thankfully you told me how
by e-mail. I have been to a few of these
presentations while they may have been doing
what they believe is good and doing an OK job i
must say you are the first that has really
touched me that way. It's so easy to watch you
and be able to tell how passionate you are about
what you are doing. I visited your website, i
had no idea that you were so big, but i realized
that was a good thing when i listened to you i
didn't hear some famous speaker, i heard an
average person, a real person i heard Norbert. I
hope you never stop doing what your doing. i
just can't say thank you enough for doing what
you believe in.. I guess the best thing to say
would be i hope you reach people.. and change
their lives. You are really an inspiration to
me.
Zaheer, Queen Elizabeth High, Edmonton,
Alberta

I just wanted to say that your presentation
really changed the way i think about drinking
alcohol and drinking and driving. A while ago my
mom got in fight with her boyfriend and she was
drunk and she Ieft and she was driving. i went
with her and thought nothing of it. now
i
realize how serious all of
that could have turned out. I'm just really glad
that i saw your presentation so that next time
that happens i know not to ride with someone
under the influence of alcohol. i just wanted to
say thank you for showing me what can happen,
and teaching me that it can happen to anyone,
and how fast it can happen. Thank you very much
for the inspiring presentation, and i hope you
come back to out school soon.
Nathan B., Williams Lake Secondary,
Williams Lake, BC

Well. .i simply just do not know where to
start. I saw your presentation today at my high
school, MVHS, and it was simply astonishing. It
was a real wake up call. It was a Perfect
presentation. It made myself think, as well as
everybody else I've talked to today. You made me
think twice. For this, i must thank you. You may
have just saved my life…maybe in the future, or
maybe even this weekend. So i thank you, for
opening my eyes even wider, and making me
realize what a HUGE mistake i was making. I knew
it was bad, but i just never REALLY thought
about it until today. You are truly a hero, even
if it is just ONE life saved that's ONE life
that you went out of your way to save. Keep up
the awesome work Norbert. Your presentation was
very powerful.
Your Student, Matthew, M., Valley High,
New Brunswick

I think that you were absolutely AMAZING! I
also think that you did alot of good for my
school. You made people think of the facts that
are a reality that people don't know about until
it is too late. I very much appreciate your time
at my school. Keep up the good work. And
remember, "It's OK Not To Drink".
Matt R., Belgrade High School, Belgrade,
Montana

I was completely awed at your ability to
relate to students about the severity of
substance abuse. I am currently a grade ten
student but i have as much to do with alcohol in
my life as anyone twice my age. I am adopted, i
am the result of two people who were drunk, and
therefore understand the severity of actions
taken under the influence. Students may even
laugh but when they laugh many are covering up
for the dose of reality they just received. I
believe you are a truly amazing person and you
truly have a heart of gold to care this much
about everyone you meet, and many whom you
haven't. i wish you the best in everything you
do and thank you so much once again.
Andrea L., SAREC, Port Hawkesbury,
Nova Scotia

I just want to say thank you very much and
you have helped me alot...just yesterday i was
doubting life kinda thing and i was goin to go
smoke up for the first time with some of my
friends tomorrow...but i decided not to because
of your awesome presentation....thank you for
helping me....i think you just saved my life
from goin down the drain:)
"Summer Chick",
Grade 9, W.C. Miller High, Altona, Manitoba

Arborg Collegiate that was lucky enough to
experience your excellent presentation. It
really shows a lot about you as a person to
spend all this time trying to save lives. You're
like an Angel. I was really touched by
everything you had to say today. I just want you
to know it meant a lot to my friends and I. I
totally got what you meant, by not trying to
wreck our fun but to try and save our lives and
to watch out for us. I hope you keep on
spreading the word. I will never forget this
presentation.
Shaina J., Arborg Collegiate, Arborg,
Manitoba

I can't speak for everyone, but for me the
presentation was not only a moving experience
but it gave me the courage to make a stand and
share my knowledge with anyone who hasn't had
the honors of watching your presentation.
Thank-you for making a difference in our
community and I'm sure teens will think twice
before getting into a vehicle while under the
influence. You changed many lives today and I'm
positive you will change many more... I was
supposed to be going to a party tonight with a
bunch of older friends but after hearing you
presentation I decided to offer to be the
designated driver and drive everyone home.
Thank-you for making a difference in my life.
Tasha T., Clarke High, New Castle,
Ontario

I just want to thank you for taking a couple
hours ours of your day for speaking at our
school. Never have I saw our school so silent,
and so full of respect before. As I walked into
the gym, I was thinking "Oh great, we have to
sit on the floor, and hear some complete
stranger who knows nothing about us tell us what
we should and shouldn't be doing with our
lives." But, I was wrong. You may have been a
stranger, but you seemed to know quite a bit
about us. You knew that although we were from a
small town, we still had to deal with the pains
of substance abuse and impaired driving. You
knew that we went to parties and had a few
drinks on occasion, and you didn't put us down
for that. (That was a first). And most of all,
you knew how to get our attention. So thank you
Norbert. You really opened the eyes of many of
the students in our school.
Jessica A.,
South Grenville District High, Prescott, Ontario

The presentation was remarkably powerful and
completely captivated us! I am certain you have
made a difference in
the minds of many students
and
I
hope more people
will follow in
your footsteps of
not just educating people but making them fully
understand what happens. It is such a good
feeling to be motivated! I'm glad you are
continuing with this so that others will have
the opportunity to get out of your presentation
what I got out of it today! With this feeling I
know I can make a difference and if more people
feel the same way we can make an even bigger
one!
Georgina M.,
Unionville High
School, Unionville, Ontario

I had the privilege of being able to witness
your talk today and WOW! I have never in my life
ever had an assembly that hit me the way that
yours did. You can really connect with
teen-agers on a different level that most people
just don't understand. I love how you hit us
with the hard facts... you don't beat around the
corner about what can really happen if you make
a bad decision. Your talk today gave me the
courage to continue with my decision to not
drink at all. Good luck with your speaking, and
thank you for sharing your message with me..
i'll never forget it... your stories, those
pictures and those vocal clips will be forever
stuck in my head. I'll never choose to drink. I
know what I saw today will make me put down the
bottle and say no.
Tianna L., Grade 11, Dr. Martin
Leboldus High, Regina, Saskatchewan

When you came to my school, I walked into our
gym and I was talking to one of my friends about
a party we were going to be attending together
that following weekend. I didn't even know what
the assembly was on, nor did I seem to care. So
we took our seats on the bleachers, still
anticipating the party coming up, and then you
started speaking. You were given everyone's
attention, except mine. I was still thinking to
myself, "who is this guy, he probably doesn't
have a clue what he's talking about." But you
obviously did. As the pictures started rolling,
so did my tears. As you talked about each
picture and story, each innocent soul that was
tormented by a drunk driver, my heart started to
sink, lower and lower. Then to top it all off,
you played that recorded scream. That one
horrifying scream. Followed by the special
effect car crash... BANG! The next day at
school, people were talking about that party.
That party I used to be so excited for. Norbert,
you have me convinced. Never again, will I
drink, smoke, or anything, in my life. I'm 15
years old, and no matter what anyone says, or
who tries to pressure me, I will keep my head up
high and remember that it's ok not to drink.
Please know that you're my Hero and I think that
if everyone in this world had your beliefs,
courage, and determination, our world would be
such a better place.
Selina G., Notre Dame College School, Welland, Ontario

I had planned on never doing drugs at all, or
drinking and driving, but the presentation…wow!
It really cemented the facts in my head, and
made me so much more aware about these issues.
Not only was I moved and inspired, but my
friends were as well, and we all joke around
about being "un-emotional" with each other. Not
during your presentation. Thank you for making
us all aware of just how frightening the
scenarios were that you spoke about. It's
something that I will never forget!
Meghan G., Walkerville Collegiate
Institute, Walkerville, Ontario

You spoke at our school
today, and it is still all I can think about.
Even after everyone left the gymnasium, you
could hear them all talking about what an
amazing presentation you gave! So I wanted to
thank you for that! Your message was very
powerful and created a huge impact on me, as I
know it did to the people who do those things. I
honestly can't see how ANYONE could walk away
from that assembly and still want to harm their
bodies like that. It was such an eye-opening
experience. I'm sure that anyone who even
considers doing drugs will think about those
images and videos and audio clips that you
showed us. I was even brought to tears. When the
gymnasium was dark and we all experienced the
"crash simulation", and especially at the audio
clip of the mother being told that her child was
killed. I couldn't stop thinking about how those
kinds of choices (choices to do drugs, drink,
etc.) can affect everyone, especially your
family. I know WITHOUT A DOUBT that it is
something I will never ever do, thanks to you! I
honestly used to feel left out or I felt like a
"chicken" or a "wimp" because I always refused
to give into peer pressure, but now you have
made me feel that "It's OK Not To Drink"! So
thank you very much on behalf of all of the
students at Bow Valley. You have definitely
motivated everyone to make the right choice!
Heather O., Grade 11,
Bow Valley High School, Cochrane, Alberta

Your presentation was highly effective in my
opinion, i know alot of my friends agree with
me. In October of last year my ex-boyfriend, 17,
died in a car crash, he was the only one who
passed away, he wasn't even driving, it was a
stolen car, and alcohol was involved, the
recording of those people in an accident hit me
really hard, all i was thinking was that's what
he went through and that it really can happen to
someone you know. i couldn't breath for awhile.
It was amazing, i have never seen so many kids
stay that quiet for so long. i think you got
your message across!
Jade P., Grade 10, Williams Lake
Secondary, Williams Lake, BC

I went into the assembly not really knowing
what to expect. But I'll tell you, this
presentation was such an amazing experience for
me, and I think it made everyone at my school
think. It was amazing to hear the whole
auditorium go so quiet. I know your words truly
touched people's hearts, including mine. I never
really though much about drinking and driving,
but I am proud to say that I think drinking is a
waste of time, and after your presentation, I
will never get into a car with someone who has
been drinking. You are such an amazing person,
and I know you are doing what you love. I know
you have made a big impact on the students from
Prince Andrew. Thank you for your presentation,
and keep on doing what you do Best.
Jessica M., Prince Andrew High, Dartmouth,
Nova Scotia

I just wanted to let you know how an amazing
impact you had on many of the students, counting
me. I'd like to thank you with every part of my
soul because what you are doing truly does make
a difference. Right before you came to my
school, i had plans to go out and drink with a
couple of my friends. After your presentation we
have decided not to. Once again I would just
like to thank you. Keep doing what you're doing,
because you truly do make a difference.
Josie, Cardinal Carter Catholic High,
Leamington, Ontario

I just wanted to tell you that I was blown
away today. You did a great job at the
presentation and you seriously touched my heart.
I hope that you got through to the people at my
school because honestly, alot of them don't make
the wisest decisions at times. You did the
greatest presentation EVER, I loved the way it
was put together. I want to say thank you for
coming to my school.
Mandee H., Crocus Plains Regional Secondary
School, Brandon, Manitoba

Today you came to my school and literally
blew us all away. I will never forget that
presentation... ever. Before I loved to drink
and do drugs but after what
i
saw today i have a totally
different look on those kinds of things. I would
have never thought that it could become so
serious like that people actually died daily
from things as simple as drunk driving. That
recorded scream was something i will never
forget. I keep playing it in my mind and it's
really scary and i can't imagine being that
person. That would have been horrible and I am
going to make sure that I will never be in that
position where something like that can happen.
You really helped me understand the seriousness
of drinking and
i
NEVER want to drink again
after what i saw today.
Robyn P., Spruce Glen Public School,
Huntsville, Ontario

Your presentation today had a real big impact
on me. A close friend of my family's got killed
last year from a drinking and driving accident.
I've been thinking about all of the consequences
everyone has to face once they lose someone this
way. I wish that EVERYONE could see your
presentation. You showed me and many others to
make the right choice. Before your presentation
today, my friend was going to go to a party this
weekend in town but after you came, she decided
not to go because it could happen to anyone,
anytime, anyplace. So once again, thank you for
coming and showing what really happens in a
situation like this.
Kathleen T., Whitewood School,
Whitewood, Saskatchewan

I would just like to say that it was The Best
assembly that I have ever attended involving a
guest speaker, and I will certainly remember it.
Your assembly was Awesome!!! Didn't I already
say that? Ah well, it was so good I'm saying it
again. For prom I was planning on having my car
brought up to the hotel so I could drive home in
the morning. After your talk, I have made it
clear to myself I will not drink at all during
the night. At All. I never drink (truthfully!)
but was planning on having a bit after the prom,
you know. However, after your speech... I
realized that if I did that, then drove home,
thinking I was fine, and something happened to
my date I would be extremely crushed. Extremely!
Thanks Norbert!
Paul C., Notre Dame College, Welland, Ontario

At first when i heard you were coming i
thought is was just gonna be a waste of time
like some of the other presentations we've had,
but it wasn't! Thanks to you I'll never smoke or
try drugs…NEVER! When i got home today the first
thing i told my parents was about your
presentation. I asked my young brother (who was
also there) what he thought of it and he said
"I'm never gonna do drugs because who ever does
drugs will end up sick or even a dead." I think
you got though to quite a few of the weekend
drinkers. I know sooner or later I will be asked
to try drugs but thanks you and your
presentation i'll say "No" for sure! Thanks for
everything and I truly think your presentation
will save many teens and adults lives!
Shannon F., Treherne Collegiate, Treherne,
Manitoba

Today, you were at my daughter's school in
Ardrossan,AB. She is in grade 9 and has been in
school for a half a year now, today is the first
day she has come home and actually had a
conversation with me about anything that goes on
in school. Even when I ask her about her day,
her responses are one-word answers. She was
excited and animated about your presentation
today at school.
I think what you are doing is great and I
wish more people could talk to students about
real life situations like this such as gang
violence, prostitution, and street life for
young people.
Thank you for giving my daughter something to
think about when she is in these situations.
Even though I
talk to her about
things like this all the time, I think this will
be something she will always remember in the
future.
A Thankful Mother, Bev McMurdo, Ardrossan,
Alberta

I got to say you made the biggest impact on
me ever! I will admit that i have done some
stuff before, but it was the biggest mistake of
my life! I am only 16 years old and I don't want
to throw my life away like that. I have a future
and i'm planning on making it big! I sing, play
guitar and make up my own songs, and i know if I
get into drugs it will really ruin me!
Everything you showed us there really spoke to
me. You have such a way of saying things!
Scott J., James M. Hill Secondary,
Miramichi, New Brunswick

When you came to my school a couple days ago
I really didn't want to go to the assembly... I
thought it was a waste of time... I was going to
skip it but I had a feeling to go... so I
went...! During your whole presentation, I just
thought about ones close to me and how they
would feel if I was ever to be involved in a
drunk driving accident. But I especially thought
about my boyfriend. He has helped me through
some hard times and helped me make some really
good decisions... Like to stop smoking Marijuana
and cigarettes. He has been an incredible help
to me. I really have never been much of a
drinker... But watching your presentation makes
me NEVER want to touch any kind of drugs or
alcohol again. I'd really like to thank-you...
you just might have saved my life.., but many
other lives too. Like I said, I don't really
expect this letter to stand out in any
particular way... I just think you need the
recognition for being an Angel.
Katrina D., St. Annes High School,
Tecumseh (Windsor), Ontario

The presentation was great and it touched me
and showed me that people who take drugs and
drink are not as cool as everyone thinks they
are. I have a bunch of friends that smoke and/or
drink and I know that it it's not cool. And I
know now that it's ok for me to tell someone no
if I don't want to do something that I think is
wrong. I will never drink and drive or ever get
in a car with someone who has been drinking. I
thank you for showing me that I can be my own
person. In the presentation I liked what u
showed us because u weren't like the other
presentations u showed us the real thing and u
didn't leave anything out. and we all know
that.. It was the real thing and it wasn't made
up. So thank you for everything that u have done
for me and my friends, and as u told me…I will
take care of them.
Shannon, Weyburn Junior High, Weyburn,
Saskatchewan

When I first heard you
were coming, I though, yah he's just another
motivational speaker, and I was planning to not
attend, but I am sure glad I changed my mind.
Your pictures, testimonials, and examples of
real life experiences shocked me and caused me
to realize that this is happening in the world
today. It really hit me hard. The way the
presentation was laid out was superb. Without
the visual effects, the presentation would NOT
have meant the same. I know I was not the only
one who felt this way. Keep up the great work!
Matthew D., Grade
12 Student, St. Anne's High School, Tecumseh
(Windsor), Ontario

I am a mother of two daughters, one attends
Almaguin High School in South River and the
other at Land of Lakes Senior Public School in
Burk's Falls. Today, you did a presentation at
both schools and you certainly left a lasting
impression. I personally thinks it's wonderful
what you are doing and I wish that things were
more open when I was growing up. No doubt you
have saved many lives. I am so glad that
drinking and driving isn't a joke anymore. You
should be very proud of yourself and the work
that you do. I certainly have heard many details
since my two girls arrived home from school.
Michelle M., A Devoted Mother, South
River, Ontario

What I really liked about it was when you
showed the girl screaming ‘JASON' then the big
boom, that was a very good idea. I found
nothing boring about the whole thing, and
even some parts left me in tears, which is
strange, cause I barley ever cry. Anyways many
of my friends has taken up drugs and asked me to
try some, but I didn't. Now days I've been
having much stress about this, I didn't like my
friends smoking. But now they've thought twice,
and are trying to stop all because of you. I
thank you more that you could imagine, and I
really hope that you could come again. I can't
thank you enough!
Nikita, B., Junior High Student, Brooks,
Alberta
P.S: pleasssssssse come back!!!

I remember your presentation from the last
time when you were here, when I was in grade 9.
I just wanted to tell you that your presentation
changed me alot. It showed me what I was doing.
When I was in grade 9, I used to hang out with
the bad crowd, like not go to class, smoke pot
and drink. Your presentation affected me, and
from that, I changed myself and I stopped
hanging around with those people. I went from
almost failing all my classes in grade 9, to
achieving honors since grade 10, every semester.
I want to thank you so much for your powerful,
and moving presentation.
Gerrad D., Chinguacousy Secondary,
Brampton, Ontario

I want to thank you for coming to our school
and talking to us students. My best friend did
drugs and drank a lot but now she is quitting
for good, thanks to your great message. Thanks
you for saving her from what could have been a
horrible life.
Dawnica H., North Hasting High, Bancroft,
Ontario

It was the second time Itve seen
your presentation, and I absolutely loved it! It
really opens your eyes to the dangers of driving
while impaired. Tomorrow I'll be going to get my
learners permit and I believe I'll take it a lot
more seriously thanks to your presentation. I
think it helps alot to have a motivational
speaker such as yourself, who doesn't believe in
keeping the truth from everyone. I'm very glad
that you came to speak to us again, and I hope
that you can continue to touch people the same
way you've touched myself and many of my friends
through your work. The presentation was amazing,
and I hope that someday I'll see another one of
your presentations.
Ashley M., Baddeck Academy, Cape
Breton, Nova Scotia

Thank you for coming to Raymore School and
allowing Semans School to join in. Your message
hit a nerve with our kids, as the bus ride back
to Semans was very quiet. It is my hope that
they will think twice before placing themselves
into a situation where tragedy will strike. I
see and hear it all too often as a teacher, when
the students talk, brag about some party they
went to and who got smashed and so on and so on.
It is my wish that your message will sink deep
into the hearts and minds of the students you
spoke to today and in the future. I hope that
they will realize that drinking and driving,
doing drugs, or anything that will "mess" not
only the individual, but the friends and family
that are tied to that individual. "FOR EVERY
DECISION THERE IS A CONSEQUENCE, BOTH POSITIVE
AND NEGATIVE. WHICH WAY WILL YOU LEAN?" Thanks
again and I hope I will get another opportunity
to hear you at the next school I teach at.
Darryl Heskin, Teacher, Semans, SK

I would like to say thank you for the
presentation. It is the first one that has
actually had a major impact on me and made me
think twice about drinking and driving. It's the
first presentation that didn't seem fake. Well,
I'll never get into another car with a drunk
driver again and I will never drive drunk and I
wanted to thank you for making it clear just how
easy and quick it can happen to anyone.
Eric S., Peacock Collegiate, Moose
Jaw, Saskatchewan

I couldn't wait to get home and email you
telling you what a HUGE impact your stories, and
clips had for me.
From grade 7-9, we were taught a bit about
how drugs and alcohol were bad, but that's just
it…they were just bad... nothing more, I never
really paid attention to when our teacher was
teaching us about those things, I figured, it's
not gonna happen to me, I'll be careful, so I
don't have to worry. But after listening to you
talk to us-I realized that, wow I do have to
worry, even if I don't drink or do drugs, so
many things could happen and I could still end
up dead, even if I didn't do anything wrong!
During your presentation, I looked at a couple
of kids that are usually like-Oh, I don't care
about anything and when presentations are made,
they just laugh and make fun of the person whose
presenting, but none of them did with you, they
all looked as if maybe they should rethink how
they act and all that. And it's unusual for them
to look like that, they usually never give a
care, but they seemed to respect you and what
you had to say. Thanks for making a difference
for my friends and me!
Lacy L., Grade 10, Cudworth School,
Cudworth, Saskatchewan

It was a very great experience to show the
consequences for drinking and driving or just
drinking and doing drugs. I learned that you
should never drink and drive or drink and do
drugs. I hope you will never have to be picking
me up from a wrecked car. I hope I choose the
right choices so I won't end up there. Thanks
for making a difference!
Billie M., Washington Middle School,
Glendive, Montana

I just wanted to say WOW!
what a great presentation. Norbert, you did an
excellent job. Thank you for coming to our
school today, SMHS. You touched many hearts
including mine. You, Norbert, are truely a great
person in talking about this subject. I must say
that we, your students get the priviledge to
hear what you do to save lives and to tell us
the truth about drinking and driving. Thank you
again, Norbert!! A job well done!! Remember:
"It's OK not to drink"
Midnight Valley, St. Mary's
High, Owen Sound, Ontario

Hi!! WOW!!
The presentation was amazing! WOW! I will think
twice before I drink and drive or let a friend
drink and drive. What I liked was the fact that
you were telling us the facts, the truth and not
hiding the dangers from us. Usually I don't
listen to the whole assembly, but you had me
hanging on every word. I'm impressed at how
quiet the whole auditorium was while you were
speaking!! Your speech moved me so much.
Thank-you for coming to my school today and I

i really loved the
presentation. i hope a lot of teens in my school
learn from this experience. the part that is
most vivid in my memory is that girl's scream in
the recording of the crash. the girl's mother's
scream is just as memorable. it really got the
message across. keep up the good work Norbert
and
please visit ENSS again!

I go to Southwood and when
you came to my school i thought it was just
another presentation but was i ever wrong. I was
amazed by your presentation. so was everyone in
my school, everyone listened. The sound
recording really got to me. everyone got the
point and realized the truth behind drinking and
driving. What you said was great and i am so
glad you came to my school you got the point
across to everyone and they were all talking
about it for days after. Thank you so much!
Jesse, Southwood Secondary,
Cambridge, Ontario

I thought that Norbert's
presentation made a lot of teenagers think
twice! The parts that influenced me the most
were when he asked the question why we drink!
Really what is the reason. There is no true
explanation and drinking is not really
necessary. I drink quite often and I
realized that it is a stupid choice! Thank
you Norbert for letting people be accepted for
their own choice.

Norbert came to my school
today, April 24, 2002 (my birthday) and i didn't
expect his presentation to be anything like what
it was. I thought that he was just going to
lecture us about drinking and driving like every
other presenter that comes to our school. But it
wasn't like that at all...for one thing, i was
terrified, i don't think that i have ever felt
that scared in my life, when Norbert let us
listen to that remake of the car crashing, i
literally started to cry. Before he played it
for us, he was talking about the scream...that
you would never forget the scream, i can't seem
to stop hearing it in my head over and over
again...he was right about that. And when we
listened to the clip of the police officer going
to the house to tell the mother that her
daughter had been killed...all i could picture
was my mother if that had ever happened to me. I
just want to say, Thank You Norbert for showing
me how precious life is, for teaching me that
anything can happen, and to think smart...you
have made a huge impact, so much you will never
know, Thank You...and i will make sure that if i
decide to go to a party, i will not get into a
car with someone who has been drinking or doing
drugs.

I loved Norbert presentation.

hey Norbert!
Personally, I feel that the most surprising part
of your presentation was how quiet the whole
student body remained! Never before had I been
exposed to this, in this manner, but I think
that this is the most effective way to bring the
message across. I know many of my fellow
classmates felt the same way. I want to thank
you Norbert, for giving our student body a real
taste of the reality and dangers of drinking &
driving! Deeply Inspired, Woodstock

Hello, i saw your
presentation at stone park and all i can say is
WOW!!!!! It really impressed me and i don't
think that i will EVER drink and drive in my
life.. When i went to see your presentation i
was expecting to be bored but.... this was just
amazing......all the stories you told
us.....they really made us think about it.....
i can't even describe what i felt..... Anyway,
keep up the good work. I've never been so
impressed in my life

Hi Norbert, My school
received a wonderful presentation from you a
couple days ago. From what I have been told by
students of my school, We all were touched by
it. That slogan you use, "Its okay not to
drink", everyone is using it. thank you very
much!
"Dwarf Pickle", Burnaby Central
Secondary School, Burnaby, British Columbia

Norbert, It's Ian, the guy
you called up at Mt. Doug to assist you. I found
myself captivated for every minute of your
presentation. The way you spoke was powerful yet
seemed casual at the same time. You were
confident, which made us listen to you. You got
our attention, then made it worth our while with
the creative ways you presented ideas. The "Big
Boom" at the end of the dialogue between the guy
and his girlfriend was a great tactic. All of us
were expecting an impressive crash sound, but we
didn't expect that. That's exactly what made
that powerful. We didn't expect it. Thank you,
Norbert, for the incredible presentation. You
are doing something very important, and it is
benefiting huge numbers of people! Keep it up!

Hey Norbert,
This is
Ashley from Littlefork-Big Falls
School. I loved your
presentation, everything you said sounded like
it came straight from your heart. Most
other speakers that have come to our school
sound like they don't even care and they're just
doing it because it's they're job. But, I
think that you actually touched a lot of people.
You were a very cool
guy.
Please come to our school again!!
Ashley, Littlefork-Big Falls

Hey Norbert, That
presentation you gave today (March 15, 02) Was
Awesome! That's the best presentation I've
ever seen. You do a great job.
Everyone in the whole place listened intently.
I wish more people could realize the negative
effects that alcohol can have on teens. i
would like to thank you so much for coming.
If it ever seems like what you are doing isn't
worth it or isn't making a big enough impact,
think again. Take it from me, what you are
doing….helps. It helps a lot.
Ross C., Barnesville
High School, Barnesville, Minnesota

Hi Norbert! You spoke at my
school today, and I still can't stop thinking
about your tremendous presentation. For
the rest of the afternoon, that is all that
everyone spoke about. I think that your
presentation is sending a great message to all!

hi! im ashley from morell
regional high school and your presentation today
was so great. most of the speakers we have about
drinkin and smokin are always a bore but yours
was really interesting. everyone was loved it.
it was the only thing we all talked about for
the rest of the day. it was really an eye opener
for a lot of the students. thank you very very
much for comin out to our little school. I'm
sure it made a huge impact, cuz it did on me!!
THANK YOU!!!

Norbert you have made a huge difference in many
peoples lives after showing us all those shows
and clips. I am a grade 10 student at LV Rogers
secondary school in Nelson you were here wed., april
3,2002, you told us that u will never forget the
scream of his girlfriend and I still can't
get it out of my head. it was something u
actually couldn't forget and
that bang after was like ahh!! to us a lot of us
actually jumped like 3 feet in the air.
everything you showed us touched me. Many of my
friends were touched by this and they vow to
never drink and then try to go driving. I was
happy and they were too. thank you for showing
us. I really appreciate it and understand a lot
more than I ever have about it.
great job norbert come again next year the
new kids at LVR can learn.

The presentation really made
a big impact on everyone at our school. I
thank you for it. Before your
presentation, I thought that it would be another
boring speech lecturing us on how drinking and
driving is bad, however, it was nothing like
that. I commend you on your excellent
presentation. I think it is really cool
how you go to different places to talk to teens
about the seriousness and effects of drinking
and driving. I know that you have made an impact
on many lives, including mine.

Dear Norbert,
I just
wanted to thank you for such a wonderful speech
you gave our school and I think it was very
great. I also wanted to say that I was impressed
that everyone listened to you because sometimes
when someone comes to talk to all of us they
never even try to listen. Well, I really liked
to hear everything you said because I have
friends who drink but I sometimes try to tell
them what that does to there brain but they
never listen so I really hope you got through to
them.
Ashley G., Nevis High,
Nevis, Minnesota

Dear Norbert, I want to
personally thank you for all the hard work, time
and effort that you and your staff members have
put into your presentation.
I saw your presentation when I was only in Grade
9 at R.C.I. and then just recently saw it again
at the TAID conference in Picton! It's
amazing how you can touch students and people
the way you do and make such a difference in
people's lives. thanks for the GREAT
presentation, and you're so right, teenagers
don' t want somebody to stand there and preach
at them if they wanted that they'd stay home and
listen to their parents!!! Most adults
don't realize it but if someone is preaching at
"us" (teenagers) the last thing we want to do is
listen! Well thank you for all your time
and I hope to keep in touch!
Amanda, Renfrew Collegiate
Institute, Renfrew, Ontario

Hey, A big thanks to Norbert
Georget and the Amazing but so truthful facts
about impaired driving, i have had my license
for about a year now, and one night i was
driving and in front of me their was an impaired
driver so i called on the cell to the RCMP., i
kinda of felt bad for getting that man arrested
but once i learned he had a kid with him i was
very shocked and glad that i might have saved
that baby's life, Norbert helped me realize that
you shouldn't sympathize for one who is that
ignorant, but you should feel for the victims,
THANKS NORBERT!!!!!!!!!

HEY! You spoke at my school the other day and
honestly what you said was a total eye opening
experience! THANK-YOU so much! You even managed
to change the minds of a few of my friends. and
i totally respect you for that and i would like
to thank you because you probably saved their
lives! You are a great person. Many people took
your presentation real seriously and thats a
good thing! So i just wanted to say thanx again!
YOUR THE BEST!!!

You did a truly amazing
assembly. It was fascinating how you were able
to get everyone so quiet, no matter how hard I
try, I can never get them that quiet when I'm
organizing an assembly! Your message was so
clear and you were so emotional, it helped to
get more into the presentation. Your audio clips
and pictures were very meaningful. You made it
possible for me to picture myself in a situation
like you described. It makes it so much more
effective, when you can make the audience
believe that this could happen to them. I
applaud you, Norbert, for fighting to save
lives. Your presentation was powerful,
meaningful and very effective. I have seen your
presentation twice and you have moved me both
times. It's amazing how you can reach people
every time! Thank you so much!
